The Peter Evans Alumni Association Scholarship is a $1,000 one-time grant to a graduating senior from Career High School who is a resident of New Haven. The scholarship is named in honor of Peter Evans, a New Haven native and storied basketball coach and teacher at Richard C. Lee High School and Hill Regional Career High School. In 2025, Career High Senior Bahati Mulungula was awarded the Alumni Association Scholarship and is currently a student at Columbia University in a pre-medical program. She is pictured in the Lee-Career Hall of Fame with Alumni Association President Dr. Pamela Monk Kelley and Career High Principal Shawn True.
